not happy with the product
We purchased this atlas to use on a 10-state non-interstate driving vacation. Not at all happy with this product. The pages are printed on a very light-weight paper that tears easily. In fact, the paper on the pertinent states ripped at the spiral binding within a few minutes of having the atlas open to that page. The paper is almost translucent it is so thin. Also, rather than having the entirety of most states on two facing pages, the states have been split with the eastern half on two facing pages and the western half on separate facing pages. This is an awkward set up that is NOT user friendly as it requires constant flipping from page to page to navigate a state (not good when you have flimsy paper). I understand that might be a necessity for very large states, but this was the set up for every state we needed it for. It has been about six years since we had a new atlas, so this may be the new format, but whoever designed it has obviously never tried to cross the country using an atlas. I would describe this as a one-time use atlas since the pages have released from the binding with no way to reattach due to the spiral. The atlas was accurate at least.
