Highly Recommended!
Like all the other books in Alexander McCall Smith's series, the story continues in
the typical interesting and humorous manner. He is my favorite author, and I hope
he continues to write more books about Precious and Grace in The No. 1 Ladies'
Detective Agency.

Excellent books for the beginner reader
The set of Brand New Readers books are excellent for the beginner reader. Each set of 4 books is about an animal: either a dog, worm, cat, mouse, or elephant. Besides the cute illustrations, each page has only one sentence with the last of the 8 pages having a humorous or unexpected ending. My grandsons would want to read the same book over and over just to get to that last funny page. I am now sending a set to my other 2 grandsons as they will probably enjoy them just as much.
I did not find anything negative about these books and would highly recommend these for reading TO your child, or for the beginner reader him or herself.
