Running at 400mhz
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Cheap price for two 4 gig sticks. It defaulted to 333mhz but it's running fine at 400mhz right now. I do have the voltage turned up to 2.1 volts for stability and I have a fan blowing directly on it but I haven't put heat sinks on it yet.

Went from a 5400 dual core at 2.8ghz to a quad core currently running at 4.2ghz
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I upgraded my old computer's cpu from a dual core athlon 5400+ to the 965 quad core and it's stable running at 4.2 ghz at 1.65 volts with a liquid cooler. The cooler came with three 120mm fans and I added two more that I had laying on a shelf to the other side. It gets to about 48c doing a stress test. It also lets me turn the ram speed up to 1066mhz now and the old cpu only let the bios show up to 800mhz. I'm waiting on heat spreaders to try it out. It also lets me set the HT link to x10 instead of just x5 with the old cpu. My bios now has an option to control the NB voltage too.
