Not recommended for HDPE plastics repair such as Kayaks
I thought I was getting a fiberglass patch kit, but it is actually a UV curable fiberglass patch with double sided tape. Normally, the glues in the fiberglass adhere to the surface on which it is placed, but apparently, the epoxy used won't stick to some plastics, such as those used in Kayaks. In order to make it stick, a thin layer of double stick tape is applied to one side of the fiberglass. Unfortunately, one of my patches was blown off by the wind in transit to the lake, and the other was loosened enough I could remove it easily by hand. The epoxy glue does cure well in sunlight, and makes a very hard cover. I looked online and found a "How To" on patching plastic kayaks, and they suggest a 3M double sided tape. I intend to try to stick my repair kit patches to the kayak using that tape instead. Unfortunately, I had to remove the tape which came with the patch kit using something from Lowes like Goof Off. It was not easy. I cannot speak for any other repairs, but this product is not recommended for plastics repair.
