2065 Lionel Hudson
Except for gold paint, this vintage Lionel product is in excellent condition; runs super with whistle and smoke. Excellent addition to my vintage Lionel locomotive collection. Together with Erie RR logoed tender pulling 5 Erie Madison coaches, it is an excellent compliment to my Pennsy K4 and Pennsy Madison coaches consist. Package arrived well protectively wrapped with no damage. Very pleased with this purchase.

Shenango Dam
I grew up exploring the Shenango River before the dam was built and visited its construction site most days on my Wards Hawthorne bike. I watched the blasting to loosen and deepen t the base bedrock. I visited the PRR work train with steam crane assemble sections of rail and ties for the rerouting of both the PRR and Erie RR lines. I marvelled the huge powerful Euclid twin-engined bulldozers and eath movers working 24/7 under floodlights making the cut for the Erie RR midway between Kelly truss bridge and the feed mill. I also remember the Euclid dozers dragging huge metal balls linked with equally huge chains between two Euclid dozers clearing scrub trees and brush around Clark. A pleasant feature of the book was historical context presented about early Indians and development of Sharpsville and the recreational use of the Shenango by the citizens of Sharpsville. I was saddened by the submergence of the lower part of Pine Hollow steam and PRR concrete over pass tunnel by the backup of the river by the finished dam. I recognize most of the photographed locations in the book. I had later regretted not buying a Kodak and taking pictures of the building of the dam. This book is a true treasure for me and brought back many wonderful memories for me of an adventurous time of exploration and engineering wonder. I sincerely extend my thanks to the authors of this book and all those who contributed their pictures for its publication.
