Not for SAM, SSM workable
3 von 9 finden das hilfreich I had an idea of buying a6500 and using my alpha 16-50SSM, 18-135SAM, 8-16 Sigma, 55-300SAM and a few primes lenses - all SAM. I borrowed a6300 at a party from a friend and tested it for 15 mins. 18-135 SAM was totally frustrating with hunting and very slow focusing. 16-50SSM was surely faster and usable, but not like a native E-mount lens. SAM probably usable for still subjects in good light. I didn't even test Sigma - this adapter is not a solution for me.

If not for quality it would be a good simple video head...
I bought this head and it's bigger double handle brother which looks machined the same. Both heads would be OK as simile video heads for smaller cameras, but in both of them the hydraulic liquid was leaking. It is very sticky and at some point this leakage will kill the device. Since it happened to both heads that I bought together, I think it is not an exceptional quality problem. If it was a bit more costly I would've returned it.
Another problem is that you have to rotate the handle to fixate the tilt angle and it is impossible to do it without shaking the camera. So both these heads fit only for very basic and limited functions.
