There is salvation when Stihl no longer supports an old unit!
I decided to work on a customer's 015 L, and warned him that parts availability was small to none. After using many Stihl supplied parts, it dawned on me that this unit was so old it wasn't even in Stihl's registration list anymore. So heck, I may as well go ahead and use some aftermarket parts. I modified the strange kill switch (how can something short out to a painted surface effectively??), replaced his leaking fuel line, tuned the carb, fixed the chain tensioner, and threw out my ugly homemade gasket to use the one from Custom Chainsaw Parts. Now he has a reliable chainsaw from now on that will hopefully only be bone dry when he gets ready to use it because he ran it empty before storage.

Good little torch for scratch tigging at low amperage
I used this to replace my bulky 17 v without a flex head. The flex head (and smaller size) makes t-joint fillets easier because I can get a good angle without the handle (and cable/hose) preventing it.

They do what I needed them to.
Lines up perfectly - flanges, sensor bungs and angles. Welds look great. Pipes don't pass by transmission cross member as closely as catalytic converters did (my whole reason for getting these).
