A classic of the 1960s

Excellent film with uniformly brilliant performances from all of the cast, especially the leads, Anne Bancroft and Peter Finch who are ably supported by a young Maggie Smith, as well as James Mason,Yootha Joyce, Eric Porter, Richard Johnson and Frances White. Directed by the excellent Jack Clayton. Thoroughly recommended.
