If you decide to get this kit then ask them for the plans and instructions I made to do this bed.
I watched several DIY murphy beds on You Tube. It appears that the Plans are better if you get a more complete kit. BUT there are other considerations. In One such video the guy made dumb mistakes USING a kit that came with a Complete set of Plans. In the end he had to buy a different mattress because his kit plans would not let him use his mattress because it was too big. So, with this particular kit, where I was told "YOU HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE THERE ARE NO PLANS". (IN FACT THEY PUT SOME DIAGRAMS OF HOW THE APPARATUTS WORKS, BUT NOT BED PLANS. Well, My advice on this is to make a prototype first, and use it as a template, if you get this kit.
I am still working on mine after having it a month because I am sure you can put something together that will work but my project is for a wall where there are cabinets, Drawers, Table, Desktop and etc. And the Murphy bed has to Disappear into that wall or its not doing the job I want done.
There is a You Tube video that makes a without the expense. If you have to figure it out yourself you might as well go on You Tube and Save Money.
