Buy this film and cherish it as it will change your life.
This film changed my life and how I see the world. From the magical scenery to the fleshed-out characters - you will begin to see a little bit of yourself in each of them. Greed, slavery/injustice, vengeance, mortality, and power are some of the darker themes brought up throughout the film, and the character Sparrowhawk among other mentors, shows how to deal with these demons, by teaching and guiding a young sheltered prince, throughout the brutality of everyday life in a world very similar to our own.
Such a magical film, with such beautiful artwork, it is sure to keep your attention for the full length and hours more pondering of the characters choices and how they relate to everyday reality. At times tears were shed while thinking of how the film applied to my life, and that is something I think many should try and do as they watch characters and how they relate to your own chance meetings in life.
