This shocking book explains why we pay more and get less for it every year

This book will make you angry. A good explanation of how many of the richest and biggest companies and people have reduced their tax to far below what average citizens and smaller companies are hounded for. This has accelerated over the last 20 years as big business has been allowed to change tax policy for their own benefit. It shows the driving force behind 'multi-national' 'globalism' and 'free-trade' and why governments like to push their spending 'off the books' in schemes like PFI which means excessive tax money is paid to the private sector in contracts they design. Brooks counts the money lost to governments [where the facts can be found] and proves that the average citizen has to pay more tax and suffer 'austerity' because the government has lost the will and skill to catch the big tax cheats. The technical details described are lost on me [and most in the government] but everyone can see the effect around them as described in the book. Also read 'Treasure islands' by Nic Shaxson for more grim details.

Good value and easy to use

Easy to use for a smartphone novice. Replaceable battery. Take care to avoid every google app trying to store your photos data etc. Good for a basic user like me.

Improves reliability

Well made and cheap. If you have any device that needs a regular USB connection, these will save wear and tear on the USB socket prolonging the life.
