Cheap repair

After my son dropped his controller and broke the stick off we were looking for a cheap repair. These were ideal. There are plenty of videos showing how to strip the PS4 controller and anyone with a reasonable soldering iron and soldere sucker with a reasonable degree of skill with the iron should have no problem swapping these. Like all modern electronics they are small and fiddly but weren't difficult to swap. Contoller now working agagin. My only negative was time they took to get here but for the price that was a niggle that can easily be overlooked.

Get out of trouble

These chains were not actually used. In fact they were purchased as a back up after our original set got us out of deep snow in the Alps new year 2015. They are the same as the ones we used and are easy to fit and very effective traction aids. It is important to check they are tight as the chain settles in as you drive. I checked after five minutes and had to retention them. After three hours driving in deep snow they then remained tight. Removal on reaching the Motorway was easy. I keep a set in the car now all winter.
