Very different from Forbidden Island!
I gave this game to my 11 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She has been playing Forbidden Island for a while and really enjoys it.
But Forbidden Desert is more difficult than Forbidden Island and requires more strategy. We lost the first time we played, but it was interesting. I'm sure that it will get easier over time.
