high quality
This backpack is a very economic alternative for a child who is hard on their clothes and outer gear. It is truly sturdy and adorable. Loved it.

Wonderful relaxation adult coloring with a lovely deck
I love this Tarot set. The printed cards are lush with color and beautiful imagery. They are printed on top quality paper with wonderful ink. The "colorless" 2nd deck absorbs color ink or color pencil very well and is a great way to relax while creating an individualized unique deck of your own. Coloring the cards also hastens learning the cards meanings for beginners.

Frontier House: PBS Companion Book
This book was delightful to read and as nearly entertaining as the social experiment/documentary that was showcased to television audiences. The Frontier House documentary was PBS's answer to "reality TV" and sought to transport 3 families back in time to the 1880's were pioneers raced out West to prairie lands which were free for the taking for homesteaders who could improve the property within 5 years. It is a harsh environment with a short growing period, ie. heavy snowfall in June.
This book describes the process by PBS to find the site location, select the participants, research and find professional craftsmen, cattlemen, and homemakers that were familiar with the technology of the time to create an authentic experience. The book looks in depth at how our government's propaganda encouraged the city poor and new immigrants to go West even though much of the land in question was Badlands and therefore incapable of being cultivated for crops. How do you feed your family or even begin to build them shelter? What dangers are there lurking in the woods and how how do you avoid potentially fatal accidents that happened on homesteads with the use of period tools? How would you deal with waiting out the "starving months" when children cried from hunger and mothers watched their family members waste away? Find out how houses were constructed from available materials, how food was raised, hunted, grown and preserved for the winter, find out how mothers treated illnesses, infections and depression. This is a great read!
