Service your car, it will pay you back. Easy & not expensive.
Borg & Beck, whats not to like. Change your oil & filter every year on the dot whether it needs changing or not. It's the easiest job to do, and a service will cost you £25, the best maintenance you can give your car.
Just check the correct grade of oil and how much you need from the handbook.

Keep one in your boot
Keep one in your boot at this price. They are 1.6 metres long and only power the alternator and air con. There's 3 idler pulleys for tension and they slip off under sudden acceleration or snap. The engine has a turbocharger, so you put your foot down to accelerate at a crossing or such like, and snap - the belts broke. You can drive to a garage, but he of course won't have a belt in stock. BUT you do. It's still £120 to have it fitted, but at least you can be on your way. You can fit it yourself, but first you need a special tool to release the tensioner and a Haynes manual. It will take all day to fit, and many cups of tea. So top tip, take it to a garage who will do it straightaway.

Great accuracy, durable, at a good price. And easy to use.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Although I'm a DIY engineer, I can't read a conventional caliper micrometer easily. So, I needed a digital read out Caliper. Unfortunately, the accuracy of these gauges can be iffy to say the least. Some are plastic, some are very inaccurate. I needed accurate.
This Caliper is accurate to 0.03mm or 3 hundreths. Some are up to 10 hundreths, useless.
I'm measuring a thrust washer in a gearbox and I need to know the thickness, and hence, the play.
I can now accurately determine the correct endfloat.
So to sum up, Its made from Stainless Steel, it's accurate to 3 hundreths, and it's easy to use with a clear digital display. Is it worth the money? Yes I would say so. Of course if, you are a 'proper' engineer, and need to work to spot on accuracy, then a manual vernier micrometer is the way to go.
But in my job I can have a total tolerance of 16.5 hundreths, so this works for me.
It can change from mm to inch and measures up to 6 inch items.
