A Courtroom Drama
D.W. Buffa's first novel was great, his best. His subsequent books monotonically declined in plot, character development, and writing. Sad.

Disappointing.
After retiring from the practice of law, Dudley W. Buffa wrote two or three superb courtroom dramas. [The Defense, The Prosecution, The Judgment.] This book, intended to provide insights into financial fraud, falls far short of that standard because the 'swindles' central to Buffa's plot are implausible. The Swindlers" was disappointing, because after reading his earlier works, I expected bright, even brilliant characters with interesting interiors, and intricate but logically coherent stories. Sad.
