Orient's Orange Monster - a great value
The Orient Watch Company is a sleeper. They have been around for decades, but never caught the wave (probably because they are not known for quartz watches) like Seiko and Citizen. Well, Seiko knew it when it brought into the Seiko family in 2001 and bought all of it in 2009.
Enough for history. The watch is well-built. The case is nicely finished stainless steel. It is brushed on top and both the case and bracelet are polished on the sides--a nice touch. The watch has the bullet-proof Orient self-winding movement that is entirely proprietary and made in Japan. Not those cheap movements from China. The bracelet has solid links. Not cheap folded sheet stainless. The quickset functions are easy to use. First click on the stem allows you to set the date. The button at 2 o'clock allows you to set the day of the week. Easy.
The crystal looks to be mineral glass. I don't know if it has a sapphire finish. The bezel is 120-click uni-directional (counter-clockwise). The bezel insert looks to be of high quality. We'll have to wait and see if it develops a patina over time. I suspect it will develop a patina very slowly.
Very comfortable on the wrist. The watch comes with a generous bracelet and the average guy will need to take out 2-3 links. There is also a 3-hole micro adjustment on the clasp. The clasp is push-to-release with a safety buckle. The quality belies the price.
The watch keeps very good time. Not perfect. Remember, this is not a quartz watch.
This watch is basically a Seiko Orange Monster on the cheap. Same 200 meter water resistance. Nice bright orange diver dial with good lume. Very comfortable on the wrist.
This watch will go on my rotation as a daily wearer. Sporty, but not too machine looking.
This is not in the same league as a Rolex or Omega, but it comes close. If it had some fancy Swiss name on it, I would believe it. I have several other Orient automatic watches (the oldest of which is 20 years) and I have found them absolutely reliable.
Negative? The watch could use a glass back to look at the movement (although the movement is not decorated at all) and/or the engraving design on the rear cover could be jazzed up more, but then so could Rolex. Really, nothing bad to say about this watch.
And the best thing is that this watch is made in Japan. Try getting a Toyota, Honda or Nissan that's made in Japan.

Fascinating little toy
This top is an old design that is tried and true. It is easy to get to spin, and with a little practice you can get it to spin for a long time. It is small and can be played anywhere that you have a hard surface. You can even play with it in a bowl while riding a car, train, plane--where ever. Made of a steel alloy it is rugged and virtually unbreakable.
This top reminds me of an old Monopoly piece. It is iconic and fun. I carry one around in my pocket and spin it whenever I'm bored.

Great watch for Pirates of the Caribbean collectors
Another cool Disney themed watch by Invicta. A solid vintage looking watch with a stainless steel case and bracelet. This watch is hefty and you will not forget that the watch is on your wrist. The face has the Pirates theme on it and the back states the details. The movement is a Seiko NH35 automatic movement that is rock steady. It is not as accurate as a quartz watch because this watch is a mechanical watch, not a battery powered quartz one. You will never need to change batteries on this watch.
Great looking, fun to have, and it won't break the bank to get one.
