NEW Brooks Cambium Rubber Bar Tape Black

Comfortable and easier to tape than I expected.

Reading other reviews, I hesitated because of comments about how difficult the tape was to apply. Complaints centered on it not being stretchy enough to wrap easily around brakes. I've been wrapping my own bars since I was 12, but that doesn't make me an expert because I don't do it often. I had no problems with wrapping my bars. Since it is thick, getting it into the bar ends and plugging was the most difficult part. And yes... I wrap to the bar ends, not the other way because that is the way we did it in the early 70's. The tape is thick, comfortable and grippy. As much as I like cork and leather, this tape serves it's purpose and I think the only tape I will use on wet weather bikes from now on.

Don't, just don't!

It is worthless if you need a very fine grind for Turkish or espresso. I thought I would break it before I got anything to grind. I had to take it apart and clean the grinding mechanism of the fine powder because it clogged up before producing 1/16 spoonful. I backed it up a few notches and still had little success. I haven't tried a courser grind yet. If it will at least grind course, within a reasonable amount of time, I will keep to use when traveling with my French Press. Otherwise, it will be thrown away or sold in a rummage sale. Don't waste your money. I gave it two-stars only to be fair since I haven't tried a course grind yet.
