It is a fun little camera that is easy enough for the wife and kids to operate. I bought a second one after I saw the first. Download a nice free DVD authoring program that can use the MP4 files and you can make your own home videos with title screen and chapters and all. It took me a long time to learn to do this (self taught) but the results are worth it. Get the kids to make silly videos of anything and everything so you have something to practice with, and then when something improtant comes up that you want to video and DVD, you have the know-how. Only 4 stars for the lack of optical zoom, but for the price it is a good buy. I think people buy them new and try them a few times, only to realize there is more work than they thought. Practice. It is worth it to get the family involved in the recording of the kids and being able to share them with family.
