The Feminization of American Culture Douglas, Ann Paperback

An intriguing evaluation of American Culture
The author who I knew ever so briefly as a Harvard undergraduate has lived up to her brilliance in College. The interactions of Victorian Era and the First World War are analyzed by Professor Douglas. As a result the female voice becomes a dominant aspect in Our Culture. The book is beautifully written and well documented with an enormous factual base. How she ties in various intriguing issues in itself creates a book that is hard to put down.

Couldn't put it down until three quarters through
Book is brilliant, but as the fantasy part took over it became increasingly difficult for me to read. The character development was excellent and I became very involved reading it. However, difficult to finish because instead of continuing to be a novel that was extremely insightful, the characters seemed lost in a fantastic repetitive concept of bad and good.
