Stick with it.
I'd been trying to stick the sole on one of my boots with various adhesives,all to no avail. Having read an article recommending this glue I gave it a go.Leaving nothing to chance making sure all surfaces were keyed and clean I applied the glue as directed and left it clamped overnight.So far it seems to have done the job.

Always get these for those jobs that involve liquids, eg paint, but also when handling compost and none abrasive powders.
