Large and Strong Slides
These slides are BIG...almost too big... and very well made. I am surprised at the value and they seem well worth it. Have not used them yet since fishing season has not started for this year but will soon. Being a fisherman for over 50yrs and buying a LOT of gear these really seem like a good deal.

Very Good Value
I have had my SLS1503MHFS rod for awhile now and have used it often. Its really a great surf rod and fun to fish with. It is a modern take on the old fiberglass rods with its newer lighter material but it does keep the thick base and heftiness reminiscent of my old retired 14ft Shakespeare Alpha. This rod is good for long casting and big fish action but it does get heavy after awhile so make sure and get a belt holster and a strong sand spike for best long term usage. Very good quality, price and value in a very big rod.

Really Good Hooks
These are nice hooks...both strong and sharp. The wire used is a little thin but still has decent ridgidness and strength to hold larger fish. I like to tie my own rigs and these hooks make it easy to make a quality rig without much effort or cost. I will be buying more soon so that is the best recommendation I can give. I don't care for all VMC stuff but this series hook will be in my tacklebox from now on. M
