Much better than I had expected!
I'd used Gunk in the dim and distant past on a variety of cars of my youth. It was effective, but had a very distinctive smell, that would linger. Also, it tool a fair bit of work and washing to get things really clean.
My surprise was how easy the latest version is to use and how effective it is.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. The various bolts holding the arms are not secured with self-locking nuts, so are either too tight or too loose. They don't appear to be a common metric thread, so I can't simply replace the plain nuts with Nyloc from stock.

Better than the others
The market appears to be dominated by another USB charger with a different design, which I've bought and found to be unreliable.
I've been using one of these chargers for a number of months without any problem, so I've bought a couple more.
As well as working as I expect, I like the look of this unit.
