You can't beat this pen.
An everyday pen with smooth, wet nib. Not sure how much one would need to spend for equality of writing. I've had mine for 10+ years it still my favorite. An Omas EF nib comes close but John Mottilshaw at Nibsdotcom needs to do some work to give that nib the same soft flex.

A quality lube product
I use it on Quick and Orvis reels. It yields great lubrication after cleaning and use.

A battery that works. If this is what you need it does what it should.
It charges, holds a charge for a correct amount of time. Does exactly what it should.
