Cuisinart Prep 11 Plus 11C. Food Processor with Accessories and Disc Holder

Replaced my old 20 year old unit with this one
They say if it ain't broke, don't mess with it and that's certainly true with this food processor; this is an updated version of my old 11-Cup processor. I'd beaten up my old unit to the extent that the bowl was starting to come apart. I was looking around to just replace the bowl and realized for about the same money I could replace the whole unit. I do like that this comes with a blade holder because I was forever nicking my fingers on the blades loosely sitting in the draw. It's a win-win for me :) This unit is great with dry and wet ingredients. The newer unit is a little harder to situate the bowl because of the safety detents, but once I get in the habit of the newer unit it should become second nature. I would say that I prefer to use the mixer for making dough, but if you don't have a mixer, this will work in a pinch. I also put everything except the base into the dishwasher and the blades have never dulled. Note: there is a recall from cuisinart on the cutting blade, but I am using the blade from my old unit while I wait for the free replacement.
