Almost Identical to the one I grew up with which mom has used (and the family has borrowed) for 40+ years
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Blades are deeper, stiffer and set in plastic rings. Where the old model had thin ribbon blades or wires strung on zinc (or aluminum) rings. It cut the potatoes with ease. Great for slicing large quantities as you can set it in a large pan and just keep slicing.

Balanced works well

Great for inspecting but this is not for working on things
Perfect for inspecting small things you can hold up to your eye. coins, stamps, reading inscriptions or trademarks on small items, etc. Very crisp clear vision. Great light placement, and protective swing-away cover.
Not good for seeing small items as you work on them for they are too close to the lens when in focus.
Works very well for what is was made to do, but not for other things.
