Spindle threads not machined properly
Bought one of these units and when it arrived, it was heavier than I expected( not a big deal). When I opened the box I was happy to see that the case had real metal closing harps, as opposed to cheap plastic. When I took the polisher out and tried to screw on the polishing pad, it would only go on 1/2 of a revolution. I though maybe the pad was defective so I tried another one that I had from another machine....still no go.
After looking at the threads on the shaft, it was pretty clear that nothing was going to work properly. The threads were really rough and inconsistent. I will be returning the unit and buying a different polisher.
