My Hometown
I find that this book is one of the best books ever written about my hometown of Hamilton, Ohio. Coming from a "Blue Color" family in Hamilton, I have found this book to be especially interesting. My family, relatives, and friends spent their working lives in these industries described in this outstanding book. The Champion Paper Company, the Niles Tool Works, the Mosler Safe Company, the Herring-Hall- Marvin Safe Company, and many other companies listed were of great interest to me as they provided a good livelyhood to those of us employed with them. --- In 1900, my grandfather immigrated to America and was employed by Herring-Hall-Marvin where I too worked many years later.----Since many or most of these industries that made America great are now long gone, this book would be indispensable for anyone interested in the history of Hamilton. ---- (After reading my copy, I bought several more books as gifts for my relatives who I know will appreciate receiving the superlative book.)
