Useful for single people and small families

I bought this set for my Grandson, who likes cooking, and has just bought himself a flat. He is very pleased with it. Maybe the handles should have some heatproof coating?

Nice until it goes wrong.

Although it appears to be "solid",but it isn't really, the construction internally has flex ribbon wiring, and one has a heavy ferrite bead on it, which can result in the cable coming out of the connector. The main fault is of course that the display fades, although with the software mod which turns off the display after 7 seconds, it may last a long while. The fact is that nearly all electronics is made in China nowadays, and there is usually no repair information, so nearly everything is thrown away if it fails. The radio is quite comprehensive (Note it does NOT receive AM as ebay says) but not very easy to use.

Useful for DIY and such like.

I used this to enlarge some holes in sheet steel. The holes were different sizes, and all needed enlarging. This was to "repair" a Suffolk Punch Lawnmower. Because the roller bearings are a bit worn, I needed to slide the bearing plate a bit closer to the drive cog. This tool made it very easy. No choosing different size drills etc. It cut very cleanly and quickly. I haven't tried to drill a hole of a specific size, but I imagine if you have a hole big enough to start, and you use it carefully, you can get any of the sizes
