Stunning, un-cut version of an off-beat movie; Natalie Portman's debut.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Let me put it this way: if you've seen only the edited-for-the-US-market version of "The Professional" (aka "Leon"), then you haven't truly seen this off-beat film at its finest. You probably thought the US-version was a bit choppy, several unexplained sequences and loose ends, but never realized that about twenty-five minutes had been cut out. Loose ends like Mathilda's (Natalie Portman, in her movie debut) relationship with Leon (Jean Reno), and, how Leon grew up to become a peerless "cleaner".

Good Hair: Good Tutorial
I'm an 'older' White guy, and a Black female former friend was absolutely no use in 'warning me' about Black women's hair issues. So, I rented "Good Hair" for a night, and learned a lot more. It filled in a lot of gaps left over from "Something New" (Sinaa Lathan, Simon Baker... a Grrreat B/W movie). So good, that I bought a copy on eBay; couldn't beat the price. Great movie, mixes Black women's hair hangups (the brothas like long hair on their women, but don't dare run their hands through it!) with the story behind weaves, extensions, etc, and adds some hilarious side-jokes. I'm still stunned at the costs; just whom are Black women trying to please by spending such sums on something 'untouchable, 'unwettable', etc.?
