FINALLY, AN EXCELLENT STEAM IRON
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I am a quilter, and although I do iron clothing, ironing loads of 108" wide backing fabric that is very wrinkled out of the dryer has been a royal pain with my Olisio. Although I love that the iron pops up and down the steam is horrible and it's not worth using. THIS iron, however, steams constantly, with it's 40 steam holes, and I don't have to go over and over and over the fabric to get it wrinkle free. Also, one real positive is that because of arthritis in my thumbs, I don't need to keep hitting the steam button. In fact, I rarely needed to use it. The heavy steam just keeps coming. I had high hopes based on all the 5 star ratings, and I'm not at all disappointed. Now to get used to standing an iron up again. I'd highly recommend this iron whether you use it for quilting, sewing of any kind or just general ironing. I've been through a lot of irons, including cheaper Rowenta irons, but this one is finally the answer to my needs - loads of steam that does the job. I picked it up in the mail room where I live, had to get it unpacked immediately and start ironing through 4 layers of that big piece of fabric and was so pleased that the steam even got out much of the wrinkles on the bottom layer, the 4th layer. THe photo of the steam is honest. For quilting itself, I'm looking forward to flatter seams in my piecing of quilt tops. Thank you Rowenta for an excellent product. BTW, I have no negative comments. I did think it was heavier than the Olisio, until I picked them both up at the same time. No diff.

A favorite old WW cookbook.
I downsized too much a year ago and this book was gone. Now I want it back. It's based on the WW plan I lost 45# on in 1995 (when we counted breads, etc) and I love some of the recipes I've missed. The Fritatta is the best. My late husband loved when I cooked WW recipes and this book has many favorites.

Super light meets my needs
This is exactly what I needed for my ironing table for quilting. the light is high enough to shine on the whole table. I waited to see how it clipped on because I wanted a second for my cutting table and don't have much room for somthing to stick out over the table. THis is pefect. I had to put it in from the side for the ironing table because it's actually a padded luan (sp?) door and too thick, but putting the screw gadget in from the side worked perfectly. So - ordered a 2nd just now for the cutting table and can't wait to have more light. Excellent. I had no trouble putting it together. I've had one some time ago just like this and knew the type I was getting. I definitely recommend this if you need good task lighting.
