Revell U.S.S. Voyager Star Trek STYLE A
OK, THE BOX ARRIVED REALLY QUICK (NEXT DAY) AND WAS VERY WELL PROTECTED. Upon opening the box and checking the contents, it was clear that this kit didn't have too many pieces, and would be quite easy to assemble.
Paint guides throughout the instructions were clear and easy to follow, making this kit even more of a joy to put together.
Upon completing the kit, with paint and glue dry, it was time to apply the decals. Oh... the sheet of decals was chock full. I mean there were thousands of the little buggers, and some were damn hard to apply too.
This kit is easy to assemble, easy to paint with easy to follow instructions - BUT (there's always a BUT) the decal sheet almost had me fainting just looking at it. I mean, come on REVELL. Why????
Ok, joking aside, yes I enjoyed making it, humming the Voyager theme tune as I sprayed here, glued there. But I did not enjoy applying the decals, it took me three days, and afterwards, I had to spray the whole thing with clear.
All in all, I felt the kit was let down by the sheer number of decals, and the fiddlyness they presented me.
If it wasn't for those pesky decals, this kit would get 5 out of 5, instead, I give the kit a 4 out of 5.
Well easy to make and paint, but be prepared to spend hours marking off the decals as you apply them, one by one by one by one by one... etc.
