True hifi sound. An understated, classy IEM. Keeper.
Great clarity, detail (without being sibilant), and balance. A true audiophile quality piece. In my experience gave the Shure SE535 and the likes a real run for its money. Make every Sennheiser IEM other than IE800 sound muddy and bloated. Relatively easy to drive, sounds good with most sources. Of course, it's a perfect pairing with my Hifiman HM901 w. balance amp card. I've compared it with many IEMs through the 6 years of ownership and have no intention (or reason) of letting it go.
