A gem!!!
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich This book is a real page-turner! I finished it in 2 days; what a fantastic story line. Excellent! Much different than the usual thriller/murder mystery. I highly recommend this great book!

My Mother's Cookbook
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I treasured my mother's cookbook for decades. As a child in the 50's, I watched her creating many meals with it open on the counter. When she died in 1965, I kept the cookbook not only to remember her by, but for my own use. For 40 years, it was used constantly until it fell apart completely in 2005. I never thought I'd be able to find the EXACT book in perfect condition, but I've been looking for a replacement since and was THRILLED to find this excellent copy of it, and at such a great price! Seeing it on my countertop brought back many lovely memories. I will treasure this new one from now on, and leave it to my own daughter someday.

Disappointing
I did not realize that Agatha Christie did not actually write this novel. The cover states, "ADAPTED AS A NOVEL BY CHARLES OSBORNE". If you're a fan of Agatha Christie - as I am - you will be sorely disappointed in this book. A waste of your time to even try to read it; boring and not at all in her style. The story line is difficult to follow, makes little sense, and the characters are wooden and unbelievable. Waste of money.
