TritonAudio FetHead FILTER Hi-End Microphone-Preamp for Ribbon Microphones

Boom. Gone!

Tried this product out in order to cut the low end and achieve a more natural acoustic sound from my Fender Acoustasonic Amp (and Martin D-18/Baggs/Sunrise). In my recording (and performing set up), I use a Sennheiser e609 directly in front of this amp and perhaps it's proximity effect, perhaps its just the eq curve on the mic, but in any event, the sound coming out of the amp has always been too boomy and bassy and muddy. I bought the Triton Audio Fethead Filter hoping to correct the sound and it did an awesome job at that. Moreover, while I record into a Focusrite ISA 428 that has tons of gain, the additional gain produced by the Fethead seemed to bring with it more detail and clarity than I was getting before. Great product and even better considering its modest price.

Pro: Zero Latency. Con: Occasional digital drop-outs

I use these for wireless monitoring while recording in Logic Pro X. They work well for this as they have zero (or at least, non-perceptible) latency. But I do experience occasional digital noise. But given that there really are no other alternatives for wireless headphone monitoring, the tradeoff is acceptable. Sound quality, comfort, battery life, and instant on are all excellent.
