One to play again and again.
Since discovering his early works, I've become a big fan of Joe Cocker and been building up my collection of cds. This one is an excellent example of his voice in its prime, with skilful backing that doesn't smother him. His young voice was so attractive, his phrasing and feel for lyrics always spot on, he didn't need anything but the most subtle backing. His later work was so often over produced, it lacked all spontaneity and excitement in my opinion. I've played this cd many times already and find it hard to believe how old the recording is, it sounds as fresh and vibrant now as it must have done on first release.

Witty, clever and charismatic performances.
Always loved this film, great to see it again, every bit as good as I remember. Witty and clever dialogue, everyone in it is terrific. Thoroughly recommend.
