Surreal
A chapter of my life when we lived in Florida. My father’s RF8 Squadron getting shot to pieces over Cuba . My Uncle shadowing Russian subs in an P2v Neptune, And we were playing drop duck and cover in school. People all around us were putting septic tanks in their yards for bomb shelters. Nobody gives it a second thought today and I doubt they even teach it in school.
