weird and flat attempt

I didn't remember this one from my childhood, good reason why. An unfortunate attempt. Too bad Rankin/Bass didn't do this movie as well...

Worth a read if you like Gierach

Another good collection of essays by Gierach, I will say he's getting a bit repetative, but still good stories overall. Coulda left out the "book tour" chapter.

excellent wrap-up to the story!

once again, Rankin/Bass at their best, just too bad they didn't do the entire story just because someone else had already done an animated LOTR story...
