2400GPH 10" Sand Filter Above Ground 0.35HP Swimming Pool Pump intex compatible

Beware of Made in China, Pool pumps. Poor workmanship

This was advertised as Intex compatible. Not with my Intex. My intake and discharge hoses did not fit. After spending about $90 in connections and making washers, it got it connected so it is usable. There are numerous leaks (drips) in most fittings, besides the fittings I had to jury rig. Wish I had checked it out more online before I purchased. I didn't go with an Intex pump because most of the ads on ebay were for used Intex pumps used for parts only. It does work okay. Best news is I can vacuum my pool and dont have to get out to change from filter to waste and back again. Oh and the instruction sheet is basically a joke. Doesnt help at all.

Buyer Beware

Chains are very well used. Out of a 4 pack I had one chain that was in decent shape. I can make the others usable, but it will require lots of grinding and loss of metal. One chain looks like it was used for cutting rock. Very worn. Not sure what they cut in Arizona. Cant see how that chain was cutting anything at the end. Chains although only 12.50 each were probably over priced considering the condition. I use my saw for cutting firewood and never allow the chain to get so dull. We cut mostly pine, fir and oak.

Poorly made for anything but kiddie pools.

Not good for a pool my size. 14'x25'x52". The small filter bag plugs fast and reduces suction. Even with very light sediment. Then its a hassle to clean and re-assemble. Sorry I bought the thing. Now Im looking for something a little larger and more powerful. Barely rates a 2 for me. More like 1.5
