A series of interesting far flung locales with 2 very watchable characters

This series is a roller coaster ride of peeks into Englands bucolic landscapes with peeks at the hurly burly of London, ancient Manor houses & the Aristocrats who maintain in some cases a very shaky facade, the rawness of the underbelly of industrial cities & the people who reside & survive in locales one rarely gets to see. The differing perspectives are eye opening but good stories prevent the bogging down & stalling out of interest..Many humourous flashes can be enjoyed if one pays attention.

American producers need to utilize their mature actors as well as the Brits do

Be swept away by the visual pleasure of the locales of this series.

If you love the sights of bucolic English countryside, idyllic villages & a peek into village life this is a must see series.. The stories are merely the means of transportation to the sublime..
