Works as advertised.
Works with braid and mono and works with conventional and spinning reels (for spinning reel place between the first and second guide on the rod). Do not use to cast...to measure casting distance first cast, then attach the counter to the rod and measure incoming line...otherwise use a directed.

Its all I use on spinner and conventional reels.
Great line and knot strength, thin diameter, and cost effective. It has never let me down.
