Saved my expensive lens!
This filter saved the day when I was on vacation in Norway. I dropped my camera and the filter shattered but the lens was unharmed! Prior to buying this I had seen a lot of comments online on why a filter is not required and that it ruins the image quality. But this experience has shown me otherwise and I am glad I got this filter. It has no effects on the image quality. I have compared the photos that I took with this and without this (after it was broken) and I could not make out any difference. And this is with photos taken at high resolution (36MP) and viewed at 100% on a large monitor. The first thing I did once got home from my vacation was to buy another one of these filters! Saved my $1000 lens and for that alone it was worth it.
