One of the first.
One of the 1st replacement pickups back in the seventies. Works in almost any electric guitar style and material. One of the 1st pickups to really hit an amplifier hard for that classic hard rock sound. Ceramic magnets; Works well with all mahogany bodies for a brighter tone.

No modification drop in.
Great pick up to put more horsepower in a normally weak treble position of a stratocaster without having to modify the guitar. The magic sound of a Strat is the neck position; I left that and the middle intact. This drop in in the treble position still retains a lot of the original Strat sound; Just a fuller sound that hits your amp harder so you don't need overdrive pedals.

Pat Travers, King Biscuit "Live"
Pat Travers is one of those artist's that never got his "due." This "live performance captures most of the songs from the mid-part of his career, and some from the early days. Sound quality and balance are good for a live recording.
Pat comes from an era when men could sing, write, and arrange rock&roll music that becomes timeless; you never get tired of hearing some of these tunes year after year, and you know it is him the first time you hear it. His music style is loaded with hooks and heavy grooves that are seriously lacking in the current "who's currently hot popular list." He has a very unique voice. In the current state of overproduced music, Rap, and some of the corporate shenanigans, it is refreshing to hear music like this if you are a fan of hard/classic rock.
Pat Travers is just as good with his studio recordings also, although his live recordings have a higher energy to them since he is a great live act. For those of you that like this recording after hearing it, you would be wise to seek some of his back catalog if you don't own any of his past material; you will not be disappointed. In closing, Pat produces a new CD of material about every 18 months.
Some of the older stuff is out of print but can be found on E-Bay with some patience. Happy Hunting!
