VH226F Antenna Rotor
Came with hardware to mount to mast and extension. Requires just a 3 conductor wire.
3 foot limit to extension mast.
The programmabilty is nice feature, especially with a remote control option. Has 12 settings. Seems to have fine increment resolution in the direction. Unlike the old rotors that click every few degrees, this one turns smoothly.
Had a power failure and it remembered the settings.
I have larger TV antenna and it seems fine with that. A large ham antenna may be too big. It appeared the larger gear was plastic (?), so service life is my only concern.
All and all, it installed easily and works great.

Useful for other applications

The device can be hacked and many Win CE applications can be used, such as vdieo/MP3 player, games, Excel,and many other programs - whatever can fit on an SD card and is Win CE compatible.
The battery lasts for quite a long time.
Won't accept an SDHC card. Has no RF communication - no WiFi.
If hacked, good for killing time in in the waiting room if you don't have a Smart phone
Since the maps are old, the value is pretty low.

Great for that price.
Excellent for the price. The halves are screwed together so if needing a wired plug with that connector style, it can be taken apart to add the wires (like for the Kenwood VFO-820).
Gold plated pins.
