It'll work if you work with it
The magnetic side is weak and the adhesive is weaker.
Even without anything attached, the adhesive wouldn't stay on the wall. So I had to nail the tape down.
The magnetic tape itself isn't strong enough to hold metallic objects but will keep other magnets in place as long as the magnets are not heavy.

Broke on my first outing.
At first glance, I was very pleased with it, but it broke on my first outing.
Just snapped in two after cutting my 12lb mono line.
Junk.

Great iso-fishing rod, one of my favorites.
Solid, good quality rod.
But just like any iso-fishing rod, they are delicate and should be handled as such.
