Gripping storytelling
In The Shardlake series. The exploits of a lawyer in the time of Henry VIII. Background very atmospheric without dwelling too much on the nastier,and gorier aspects of the era.

Breezy Brighton and all that goes with it.
If you love Brighton and the many characters and stories it holds then you will love this book. A great tale of trying to find a painting that the author sees as a postcard. Sure that the painting is not French but English ,AND painted in Brighton,the author tries to find the original. Along the way we have wonderful descriptions of local life,characters and places that all Brightonians will recognise.
Brighton can be seedy and sad,lovely and loving,harsh and happy...its all here,the essence of Brighton captured in a book.

Recommended for dry eye daily use.
If you have dry eyes then this is the ideal lubricating drop for everyday use. Handy little phials to pop in your pocket or handbag. I wouldnt be without them,and have used them for several years with great success.
