Compact yet chock full of information and photos taht will hold your curiosity and attention ion. You will find it hard to put down.
I was born and raised in WV and lived there 64 years prior to moving to Alabama. To me this facility will always be known as Weston State Hospital. It is kone of two in the state with Spencer State Hospital being the other. As a child we have driven past it, and Spencer, a nuber of times and it always fascinated me. I have also watched Ghost Hunters investigations at Weston and found it entertaining. You might like their investigation of the WV Penitentiary in Moundsville. The book, along with its photos, give a accurate account of life and death at the asylum. I recommend it to anyone with a bent toward curiosity of interest in the paranormal.

A wealth of history and memories.
I I was born and raised in the Chester area and Rock Springs Park was always my favorite place to go and spend time in The photos and history described in the book brought back many happy childhood memories as well as remembering my favorite rides in the park. I attended the park in the 60s and early 70s before it shut down and reading about its rich history as well as seeing the photos of the times is fascinating. It makes me wish I was born earlier so that I could have seen the park in its hayday.
II would heartily recommend this book to anyone who grew up in the area or to those who have an interest in amusement parks or history. It is well worth obtaining this book!
