Rescuing a LCD TV
55" LG LCD TV stopped working. Attempted to start-up the power supply (PS) with the outputs disconnected. This identified the PS as bad. Replacement PS board appeared to work fine when started similarly, but would shut down if connected to outputs. A little trial-and-error experimentation identified the slave backlight inverter (right side when viewed from the rear) as the problem. A simple ohm test on the power inputs to this board confirmed a near short. Thought about trying to replace components, but a used replacement inverter board was available for ~$15, so went that way. Pretty easy to replace using some care with the connectors. TV started right up!

Does the intended job in a convenient size.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Great for keeping alive your lower power items like your internet router (which is what it is intended for). Nice, compact size, and it has keyhole mounting holes on the back so that it can be hung on the wall on a couple of screws.
