A Unique Experience
This show is quite edgy. It narrows its audience straight from the beginning. If you decide to keep watching though, you might just notice that beneath the gore and nudity is a deep feeling of sorrow and loneliness. The backstories of some of the characters are quite extreme and you get to observe how they develop, learn, and grow from those experiences. There are many moments in Elfen Lied that I find really touching and inspiring. There are a few funny moments too that make the journey a little brighter.
The blu-ray version of Elfen Lied was done very well. It makes the art in the show more crisp and fluid. The music sounds great. The english dub was good also. This is an anime that shouldn't be passed up!
