Skies of Arcadia (Sega Dreamcast, 2000) Complete In Box

Nostalgic journey

There weren't a lot of RPGs on Sega consoles, the Dreamcast in particular. So the ones that do exist should be cherished in a certain sense. Sure the graphics are dated, the load times, while short, are still egregious when held up against today's standards, but for those willing to put up with such shortcomings skies of arcadia has much to offer. The lack of full voice acting hurts, but there's so much charm on display. I never had the opportunity to play this on my childhood Dreamcast, but I'm rectifying that now, and it's helping me reconnect with my teenage self in a way few other retro games have. Maybe not a five star experience in and of itself but the nostalgia factor pushes it over the top for me.
